Well, here we are!! a
completely normal family, with a real passion for what we
enjoy,,,,BIKES!!
ELLIE
My Bike Life…..
Someone once told me I didn’t look like much of a biker,
and that they could picture me, sat in a pink fluffy bedroom
painting my toenails.
Well here’s the thing I am an average teenage girl living a
normal teenage life, I still paint my toenails! but I just
love things that have two wheels and go very very fast!
Im called Gabrielle, but people call me Ellie for short.
My biking love started when I was around seven and my dad
won a Suzuki RG Gamma in a game of pool.
I didn’t like the idea of having to strip an old bike that
hadn’t been run in over three years but In the end it turned
out to be worth while!
When the transformation was finished I was truly in love
with its wonderful looks and superb power(Well, I was only
7!). Shortly afterwards we had to move from my home town,
Plymouth, to my home now, Cornwall. There my love for
motorbikes became stronger I would watch the racing on the
television with my dad and granddad who also has an interest
in motorbikes. I started to relax and not be so worried about
the ride ahead. Just when riding our bike was part of my daily
routine, outside a local shop ,just after we had it sprayed a
fire red, my love was soon to end a careless driver decided
that they couldn’t see bike and thought it would be easier
just to turn a blind eye and run over it. Obviously we were
gutted that was our baby that got run over. Well, after that
we were obviously more careful where we parked but that is not
were it ends no need to worry!
We soon found another beast, a Honda VF500 F2e and lets
just say I will never forget that bike! Me and my dad had some
fun times on that bike we went every where on it, I would get
picked up from my friends house my Nan’s house and, the best
place of all to get picked up, school.
At school every ones head would turn and think who is that
on there ? Well there faces when they saw a girl in a skirt
and knee high socks hidden under jeans was amazing ! They
would talk about it for days on end. After about one year and
a half of nothing but fun our bike finally had enough of life
and her engine just gave in and we are still trying to find a
Honda dealer that maybe able to help.
Now after one really hard year of no bike riding we finally
have a new love, it is a Suzuki GSX600f, and boy does it fly.
Our favourite place lately to adventure to is the beautiful
Mullion Cove.
So here we now are, 5 years later, and im learning to ride
myself, off-road of coarse, and my dads dream, to own a bike
shop, is starting to become a reality. What a great idea, a
bike shop built on the ideas of bikers!
So please, fill in the little Survey and help to make it
work!!
See you all riding soon!

She loves all things BIKE!
and at the moment is learning to ride on her little mean

THE PHOTO ABOVE IS JUST
FOR SHOW, EBONY ALWAYS WEARS ALL OF HER PROTECTIVE CLOTHING
WHEN ACTUALLY RIDING! PLUS IF HER MUM FOUND OUT WE WERE
MESSING ABOUT WITH BIKES IN HER SCHOOL UNIFORM, SHE WOULD GO

Ebony Can't wait to be
able to get out on her own bike, or indeed on the road on the
back of the GSX we ride at present.

VANESSA
Although I don' t ride myself over the
years I have supported and put up with the rebuild of
bikes in our garden , garage, shed, front and back
yard, In the kitchen and have even cleaned parts in
the bath. In our family bikes have a big influence as our
eldest daughter at the age of seven decided she wanted a bike
as soon as she is old enough and not a car. Even our youngest
daughter now six Is desperate to get on the back of her dads
motorbike but she Is still a little bit to young but Insists
she Is going to have a bike of her own as soon as she turns
sixteen. Both the girls love being Involved with both the
little jobs that need doing and the complete
rebuilds. Personally I am quite happy just cleaning
them whether It be In the bath or our garden!!
SIMON
Me
and Ellie 2004 on a B reg VF500 F2e
I was introduced to
motorbikes when I was about seven by my father who
In his younger years used to race around the desert for fun.
As I got older the love for bikes lead me to get
Involved with as much motorcycling as I could
and became an active member of the British
Motorcycling Federation.
I'v had a succession of bikes since
then, including a Honda Melody, a Yamaha FS1SE, a Suzuki
TS100, A Suzuki RG 125, a CG125, a Honda VF500F2E, and a
Suzuki GSX 600F.
My first
major rebuild was an RG Gamma which had been left
standing for some time but we got It going
,made I road legal with the help of my eldest daughter
Ellie and became very proud of It . After being knocked off It
once then having It seize on me I didn' t think any thing
else could happen to It but as things come In threes the day
after It had Its re spray someone reversed into It and pushed
It up the road on Its side long enough for It to be a write
off. I then spent about 52 hours as a pillion on a
friends bandit raising money for the local lifeboat by riding
from Lands end to John'O'Groats and back again to Lands end
and raised £1000 for the RNLI. I then brought a
Honda VF500 which gave up on me a while ago but I
still have It In the garden but Is now classed as the
garden ornament at the moment.
It has always been a dream
of mine to own a motorcycle shop so here I am with my
family trying my hardest to make that dream come
true.
